The Background
Facing of the rapidly competition and the strictly regulation in information, telecommunication, and manufacturing field, Innovation become the most important part for company strategy when it’s ignored, will send the company to gate of destruction. Innovation that packed in a innovation strategy will give the positif impact for company performances.
In ICT (Information Communication and Technology) development, there are some limited things of technology ability and it needs a creativity and innovation to change the processes or make the new product services. Research that have been done by Terziovski in 2002 proved that innovation could increase customer satisfied, productivity, and capacity of technology competition. Based on that, various solutions, approach or new literature that have capability to answer that innovation strategy problems in information and telecommunication field is always expected for community in large, education field or Industry. IDECT 2008 (Industrial Engineering Conference on Telecommunication 2008)
TelecommunicationINDECT is periodic scientific conference held by Industrial Engineering Department of Institut Teknologi Telkom (formerly STT Telkom) that would be presented by researcher, academic practitioner from the whole region in Indonesia to discuss research, technology and application problems in information and telecommunication field. The theme is
"ICT ROLES TO INCREASE THE NATIONAL ECONOMIC GROWTH"
The Objectives
The objectives of INDECT 2008 are :
1.Holding practitioner forum, researcher and academic community to extend the newest research product about bussiness
prospect in information and telecommunication in 2008.
2.Doing exploration of issue, method and problems in development and application (content) spreading and service
innovation that support business success in information and telecommunication field.
3.Being the media of experiences exchanged in information and telecommunication business.
Time of activity
Industrial Engineering Conference on Telecommunication (INDECT 2008) will be held on 23-24 Oktober 2008.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to officially open the second International Conference of INDECT 2008. The President will deliver the keynote speech at the conference, to be held from October 23 and organized by Institut Teknologi Telkom

The INDECT 2008 Call for Paper will be internationally distributed by IT Telkom and will be available in hard copy book that will be included in each Conference registrant's packet.
Attendees who want to receive a hard copy proceedings book on-site must order the book prior to the conference. All books not ordered prior to the conference will be shipped following the conference.
